DigiGov – The top level forum for a smarter Sweden

Digitalisation offers the potential to modernise Swedish community development. At the latest World Economic Forum in Davos, digitalisation was singled out as the most important force for social change in the task of meeting society’s future welfare challenges. Many cornerstones of society face major changes that challenge our way of managing Sweden’s public-sector.

We also need to create better conditions for development through increased collaboration between municipalities, county councils, regions, the state, national authorities, businesses and academia. We need to think and act smartly – together. The government and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR) recently signed a joint declaration of intent regarding a digital renewal of Sweden’s public sector. The declaration highlights a number of areas where digital renewal is needed.

Discuss how today’s social challenges can be tackled with the help of digital renewal

Over the course of two days, top decision-makers in the public sector, business and academia will conduct a strategic discussion on where the Swedish public sector is heading and what needs to be done. The meeting will be brought to a close by the government’s advisory board on the digitalisation of Sweden’s public-sector.
